Best, on this site, means the product that survived the fee check and the export check inside its category. It does not mean a slot a vendor can buy, and the order on the page is the order of the checks.
Best means the checks, in order
On Mintcanopy a product is "best" in its category when the fee is specific and the export worked, and when the skip paragraph does not describe you. Harbor Path is the taxable robo-advisor in that sense, at 0.25 percent, and it is not the best IRA. Kindling Invest is the IRA conversation. The word best on the hub is the start of that split, not a medal.
The order you should click
If you are costing a percent, open the fee guide and then robo-advisors. If you are reading a 10-K, open the filing guide and then stock research. If you are arming an alert, open the alert guide before Signal Orchard. The hub does not replace those guides. It is the index of categories so you do not compare a $49 filing tool with a 0.25 percent adviser and call the cheaper one the winner. They are different bills.
What cannot be bought here
A vendor cannot purchase the top card. An affiliate link does not move a card. If two products both pass the checks, both stay, and the pages explain the different reader. A category with one survivor is allowed to have one survivor. We do not add a second product to make the grid look full.
Do not compare different bills
A 0.25 percent adviser and a $49 filing tool are not in a race. The hub sends you to the fee guide or the filing guide first. Best means the checks inside one category. Harbor Path can be the taxable choice and the wrong IRA. A vendor cannot buy the top card. An affiliate link cannot move it. A category may have one survivor. We do not add a second name to fill a grid.
If the skip paragraph is you, the badge is irrelevant.
Two bills that are not in a race
A reader wrote to ask which was "best," Harbor Path or Folio Lens, because one score was 4.6 and the other was 4.5. They are not in a race. Harbor Path bills 0.25 percent of assets. Folio Lens bills $49 a month to point at a filing. The cheaper one depends on what you are buying. On an $80,000 account the adviser fee in year one is about $228 in the fee guide's walk, which is more than $49 a month only if you needed a filing reader and not an adviser. You cannot substitute them. Mintcanopy uses "best" to mean the checks inside one category. The hub is the index that stops the cross-category comparison.
Inside robo-advisors, best splits. Harbor Path is the taxable case with a lot export. Kindling is the first IRA, with a sweep you must read twice. Inside research, Folio Lens is the filing you already have and Quarry is the name with no filing. Inside trading, Chartloom is the chart at $29 and Signal Orchard is the bell at $39. Inside crypto, Gridwell is the subscription and Driftlane is the percent of the fill. Inside the finance team, Closeweek is the owner and Ledger Mint is the note. A vendor cannot buy the top of any of those splits.
A category with one name
If a second robo-advisor cannot show a fee screen, the category is allowed to contain only Harbor Path and Kindling, or only one of them. We do not add a slide to fill a grid. Best means the checks, not a top-ten list. Mintcanopy will leave a blank rather than invent a third percent. A reader who wants more names can wait until those names have an export. A vendor who offers a placement fee is told the same thing the editorial page says: the order is the order of the checks.
No third name to fill a row
Robo-advisors has Harbor Path for taxable lots at 0.25 percent and Kindling for a first IRA at 0.35 percent. Research has Folio Lens at $49 and Quarry at $89. Trading has Chartloom at $29 and Signal Orchard at $39. Crypto has Gridwell's subscription and Driftlane's percent of the fill. The finance team has Closeweek's owners and Ledger Mint's notes. If a sixth category is empty, it stays empty. Mintcanopy does not buy a name to fill it. Best means those checks inside one job. A 4.6 and a 4.5 in different jobs are not a ranking.
Different bills, different winners
Harbor Path can be the right taxable account and the wrong IRA. Folio Lens can be the right filing tool and the wrong coverage file. Chartloom can be the right chart and the wrong bell. Gridwell can be the right key screen and the wrong month if you only budget $24. Closeweek can be the right list and the wrong note. Mintcanopy does not rank those pairs against each other. A placement fee does not add a sixth name to an empty row.
Start from the bill, not the badge
A percent of assets sends you to robo-advisors and the fee guide, not to Folio Lens. A 10-K sends you to research, not to Chartloom. A bell sends you to Signal Orchard. A key sends you to the crypto category and the Withdraw row. A close that might be signed by a file sends you to Closeweek. Mintcanopy built Best as that switchboard. The badges 4.6 and 4.5 are not comparable across the switch. A category is allowed to contain one finished review. We do not commission a second product to make the grid symmetrical, and a vendor cannot pay to become that second product.
