Privacy
Mintcanopy stores the email address you type into the contact form and a short server log of the page you requested. It does not store a brokerage login, a card number, or the contents of a portfolio.
What is stored when you write to us
The contact form asks for a name, an email address, and a message. Those three fields are stored so we can reply, and they are kept for twenty-four months because a correction sometimes takes a second look. After that the message is deleted from the desk inbox. We do not add the address to a newsletter. There is no newsletter. We do not ask for a brokerage username, an account number, a tax id, or a position file. A review that discusses an $80,000 example is discussing an example, not your account. Do not email us a statement. We do not want it, and mail is a poor safe.
The server log
The web server records the address of the page, the time, the browser type, and the IP address, and it keeps that line for thirty days. The log is how we see a broken page. It is not sold, and it is not joined to the contact form. After thirty days the line is gone. A longer retention would be a different policy, and this is not that policy.
Accounts and the cart
If you create an account, WordPress stores the email and a hashed password. If you pass through checkout for something this site itself sells, WooCommerce stores the billing name and email you typed. Reviews of other companies' software do not run through that checkout. We never receive your card number. The card, if a card is involved, is handled by the payment processor, under that company's policy, not this one.
Vendors you click toward
A link to Harbor Path, Folio Lens, or any other reviewed product leaves Mintcanopy. From that moment the vendor's policy applies, including any cookie they set. We do not see your password there. We may see a commission report that says a subscription started, without your name, if the link was tagged. The affiliate page describes that report. This page is only the promise that we do not ask you to send us the portfolio or the customer list in order to read the review.
A deletion request
Write to the contact address from the same email you used. Ask for the message to be deleted. We delete the inbox copy and say so. We cannot delete a server log line that has already aged out at thirty days, because it is already gone, and we will not pretend to delete a vendor's cookie. Do not send a brokerage statement in order to prove a fee example is wrong. Name the percent and the screen.
The twenty-four months on a contact message exist because a correction sometimes needs a second look. They are not a mailing list. There is no newsletter to opt out of. If that ever changes, this page changes first.
A deletion, step by step
Write to the contact address from the same email you used. Name the message. We delete the inbox copy and we say so in the reply. A server log line that has already aged out at thirty days is already gone, and we will not pretend to delete it a second time. A cookie set by a vendor after you leave Mintcanopy is not ours to delete. A reader once attached a brokerage statement to show an $80,000 balance. We deleted it and asked for the percent on the fee screen and the date. The review can be corrected from those two facts. It cannot be corrected from your positions, and we will not store a statement to be thorough.
Contact messages are kept twenty-four months because a correction sometimes needs a second look, as the ten-year fee figure did. They are not a mailing list. There is no newsletter. If a newsletter is ever added, this page changes first, and the old retention sentence does not get quietly reused for it. Account email and a password hash exist only if you create a login. Card numbers are not stored here.
Logs, separately from the inbox
The server log keeps the page, the time, the browser type, and the IP for thirty days. It is not joined to the contact form. A person who writes to us is in the inbox for twenty-four months. A person who only reads is in the log, and then not. Mintcanopy does not sell either record. We do not build a profile of which reviews you opened. If a future page wants to, this policy changes first, in public, before the tracking ships. Do not email a statement or a customer list to force a correction. The fact that belongs in the mail is the percent, the tier, or the column, and the date you saw it.
Two clocks
The inbox keeps a contact message for twenty-four months because a correction sometimes needs a second look. The server log keeps page, time, browser, and IP for thirty days and is not joined to the inbox. After that the log line is gone. Mintcanopy does not sell either clock. There is no newsletter to opt into, and a future newsletter would have to edit this page first. Do not send a statement or a customer list. Send the percent or the tier and the date you saw the screen.
